The Bureau,
- Having examined document ITH/09/5.COM 1.BUR/6 and its annex,
- Thanks the Gabonese authorities for their generous invitation to host the first workshop aimed at facilitating the contribution of non-governmental organizations from developing countries;
- Authorizes the expenditures specified in that document and its annex,
- Requests the Secretariat to give a full financial report on the way the funds are spent on each project.

Spending Plan
Activity 1: Workshop for NGOs
Funds in an amount not to exceed US$20,000 shall be used for such expenses as the travel and subsistence costs of participants and a representative of the Secretariat, local travel costs, a contract for a consultant to facilitate the workshop, preparation of workshop documents, meeting facilities and equipment, hospitality, communications and organizing costs, and temporary assistance.
Activity 2: Publication of the Urgent Safeguarding List, Representative List and Register of programmes, projects and activities
Funds in an amount not to exceed US$30,000 shall be used for such expenses as temporary assistance, editing and translating services, design and layout services, printing, and dispatch.
Activity 3: Compiling information on measures and methodologies used or to be used in the selected programmes, projects and activities
Funds in an amount not to exceed US$11,976 shall be used for such expenses as contractual services for research and documentation, documentation supplies, travel and subsistence costs of consultants, fees to informants, reproduction of documents, translation, communication, and temporary assistance.
